The Tide

ever eternal swaying

you beckon to me

like the moon sings to the sea

we dance

we push and pull

eagerly you accept this movement

ecstatically I await your return

I lost myself in you 'tide bearer'

I lost myself in you 'salt soaked sea'

free of form I became I

the true I am

god was there and I wept

in you and I

in the dance

in the dance we learned

from the sea and the moon

upon your lips

grace was found

the sea spilled from my eyes

with tear stained flesh

we howled at the moon

I miss that dance

that dance that we learned

my body has withered

with the absence of the moon

my body has withered

may the sea come soon
